Supplement to EEO Public File Report
June 1, 2019-May 31, 2020
June 1, 2020-May 31, 2021
The purpose of this Supplement is to provide more detail on the the stations’ participation in
recruitment initiatives. Prior to the COVID pandemic, the SEU participated in and was a co-
sponsor of (through the purchase of a booth) the Utah Broadcasters Association Job Fair. The
last Job Fair was held on March 6, 2019. The 2020 and 2021 Job Fairs were cancelled. In a
normal year, this would satisfy the Section 73.2080(c)(2)(iii). In addition, in connection with the
Job Fair, the SEU provides tours of the stations to interested students from Dixie State
University. The tours for these students, most of whom are majoring in a broadcast related field,
are designed to disseminate information to future candidates, which would satisfy Section
73.2080(c)(2)(xvi). However, these tours were also cancelled in 2020 and 2021. The SEU plans
to continue participation in both initiatives in 2022. Finally, station management has a training
program designed to enable station personal to acquire skills for promotions. To date, this has
been an informal program but the SEU plans to make it more formal. The SEU recognizes that
its recruitment initiatives may have fallen short of the FCC’s requirements. However, the past
two years have been a struggle for the stations with managing its employees in the COVID
landscape. Many of the SEU’s personnel were working remotely and some were out for
extended periods of time.
