My love of radio started when I was a young teenager. I used to record DJs mentioning my name whenever I won prizes on the air. I created my own “radio station” by sticking a speaker in basement window of my home and begging the neighbor kids to come and listen to me play records, homemade jingles and contests. I eventually got a show at Weber State’s radio station, then convinced KCGL to hire me on the weekends and suddenly I was part of the early stages of Utah’s Modern Music Experience! I loved being part of the original KJQ where the Saturday Night Cold Case instant request show debuted as well as my campaign to free the airwaves from prepubescents. I worked at K-96 and later helped launch X96. I switched to 107.5 The End (later 101.9 The End) and spent eight great years as part of the Chunga and Mister morning show. Thanks to so many of you who listened and were a part of it! Now I’m back and thoroughly enjoying myself weekday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on 103.1 The Wave, Your Classic Alternative!
